Established in 2010 and consolidated in its present form in 2013, Underdogs works with a diversified roster of Portuguese and international artists connected with the urban inspired contemporary art universe, fostering the development of close relationships between creators, the public, and the city with the aim of promoting art as an everyday experience.
These 36 lithographs feature some of JR’s most striking projects across the globe. The works will be accompanied by personal stories told by the artist himself.
2. What is a litography?
A Lithography is a meticulous printmaking process where images are drawn onto limestone with oil or wax, allowing ink to adhere only to the intended areas. JR embraces this age-old technique to translate his monumental interventions into collectible artworks, preserving the depth, texture, and emotion of his public installations. More than just prints, these lithographs encapsulate the essence of his storytelling, offering a rare chance to acquire a fragment of his artistic universe - crafted with the same precision and vision that define his large-scale projects.
3. Can I choose the number of the edition
No, the edition will be dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis. Each person may purchase only one artwork.
4. Are the artworks signed and certificated?
Yes, the lithographs are signed and numbered by the artist, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
5. When can I buy the artworks?
This release consists of two batches. The first batch, featuring artworks from Europe and Asia, will be available on March 26 at 4PM GMT, for only 24 hours. The second batch, showcasing works from the Americas and Africa, will be available on March 27 at 4PM GMT, also for 24 hours.
6. When will I receive my order?
Orders will be processed and dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis. Please allow up to 6 weeks for delivery.
7. Is there free shipping?
No, but you can pick-up your edition at the gallery, free of charge.
