Underdogs joined forces with MINI Portugal, inviting four contemporary artists with unique creative visions to reflect on the theme of diversity and create a limited series of MINI rooftops. With strong ties to a variety of cultural expressions within the urban art movement, each artist developed a composition that unites their original aesthetics with a variety of interpretations about the meaning and importance of diversity.

Artists & Rooftops

Illustrator, designer and visual artist Ana Humana created a rooftop that reflects her vision of acceptance and tolerance as a pillar for a more free, balanced and united society, celebrating the diversity of our cultural and social experiences.

Artist, graphic designer, sculptor and educator André da Loba devised a rooftop that portrays the city through which the car passes. A vivid and colourful reflection of the incessant life that inhabits urban structures.

Fidel Évora’s rooftop is inspired by a song the artist heard in a documentary that explores life and art in his native Cape Verde. The concept focuses on diversity as a tool to create equal opportunities, especially in the context of African women.

Visual artist and illustrator Tamara Alves created a rooftop that looks at equality in its more primordial dimension: a universal origin. With a composition presenting the figure of a woman with various skin tones, she created a statement about our essence and evolution, and how diversity is the main component that enriches us.
