Nuno Viegas // Calle Libre Festival

In September 2024, Portuguese artist Nuno Viegas brought his powerful vision to Vienna as part of the Calle Libre festival, an event celebrating urban art’s transformative impact. Invited by Underdogs, Viegas created a monumental mural measuring 27 x 11 metres on a concrete wall.

Titled Metis x Gustavo I YTBG, the artwork is a heartfelt meditation on fatherhood, the promise of future generations, and the enduring strength of love. Through this piece, Viegas delves into a deeply personal territory, reflecting a new stage in his life: parenthood.

Rich in symbolism and crafted with Viegas's signature precision, the mural juxtaposes generations in playful harmony, capturing the profound connection between the past, present, and future.
