Established in 2010 and consolidated in its present form in 2013, Underdogs works with a diversified roster of Portuguese and international artists connected with the urban inspired contemporary art universe, fostering the development of close relationships between creators, the public, and the city with the aim of promoting art as an everyday experience.
Originally from São Vicente, São Paulo, Pregos, also known as Sheep or SHP, has been part of Brazil's pixação culture since the early 2000s. Connected to several pixação crews and collectives, his practice is rooted in the codes, experiences and collective identity of the streets. Based in Lisbon since 2016, he explores pixação as a form of urban communication, resistance and cultural expression, challenging conventional understandings of public space.
