Established in 2010 and consolidated in its present form in 2013, Underdogs works with a diversified roster of Portuguese and international artists connected with the urban inspired contemporary art universe, fostering the development of close relationships between creators, the public, and the city with the aim of promoting art as an everyday experience.
In 2024 Underdogs continued its foundational partnership with MEO Kalorama, curating a series of creative interventions across its venue. For this edition of the music festival, the programme featured projects by artists Ana Malta and Manel Alma, enhancing the public’s experience.
Ana Malta's work for the San Miguel Stage, titled Melodies that give you chills in times that stay, illustrated a profound inner space where timeless sounds and spontaneity reside. It presented a retro sound studio performing in a wild circus, suggesting music's boundless nature and how meaning is found in unexpected moments. Manel Alma's intervention on the Skate Ramp explored Nature as a vital energy, inviting reflection on our relationship with the environment, and fostering a deeper connection between humanity and the natural world.
