Pedro Matos(1989) has been hailed as one of Portugal's most promising contemporary visual artists. His initial work delved into issues surrounding the human condition, rendered in the form of meticulous, highly detailed paintings, often portraying the excluded and neglected by society, while his more recent endeavours have been increasingly exploring the complex intricacy of abstract urban textures and fragmented details. He also has extensive experience as a curator and ran a gallery in London. He has been exhibiting his work in both solo and group shows in a growing number of countries since 2010.
Dwelle(1993) is a young, up-and-coming Portuguese artist and illustrator with a degree in Graphic Design and a former member of the Boardbrothers collective. He has been developing a solid visual language, at once figurative and abstract, infused with colours, shapes and symbolic elements drawn from his African roots.
Wasted Rita(1988) is a Portuguese graphic designer and illustrator who has been amassing a huge following since starting her blog “Rita Bored” in 2011. The self-styled “natural born agent provocateur” likes to think and write and draw and pour forth little gems of sarcastic wisdom dipped in acid, reflecting an unconventional upbringing in a Catholic school to the sound of Black Flag. Her angst-ridden poetic invectives on life and human behaviour have found their way into magazines, books, exhibitions and art commissions in a growing number of countries.
Mar(1974) is a Portuguese graffiti and visual artist with a degree in Fashion Design whose imaginative visual universe is ruled by a pantheon of fascinating, larger-than-life stylised figures presenting a blend of contemporary pop culture and classical mythology. Recent years have seen his dynamic large-scale productions, expressing a wealth of emotions and realities, adorn buildings around Portugal and other countries. A member of the ARM collective, he has been presenting his work in both solo and collective shows since 2004.
