Established in 2010 and consolidated in its present form in 2013, Underdogs works with a diversified roster of Portuguese and international artists connected with the urban inspired contemporary art universe, fostering the development of close relationships between creators, the public, and the city with the aim of promoting art as an everyday experience.
Underdogs collaborated with Quanta Terra, a renowned winery, on a project that explores the parallels between winemaking and artistic expression. The initiative delved into how both ancient crafts embody creativity, technique, and the reinterpretation of traditional knowledge within a contemporary context.
Underdogs selected a group of artists whose works revisited historical and technical references, recontextualizing them for today. The project featured contributions by AkaCorleone, Alexandre Farto aka Vhils, Pedrita Studio, PichiAvo, Raquel Belli, and Vasco Maio.
