Timo Kuilder is a Dutch artist based in Amsterdam whose practice centers on minimal forms and observational drawing. Guided by a philosophy of “less is more,” he distills complex environments into simplified shapes and balanced compositions. His work reflects an ongoing curiosity about nature and everyday surroundings, translating observation into calm, graphic storytelling.
The turquoise lakes and cascading waterfalls of Plitvice National Park offered Timo Kuilder a quiet escape from urban life. Long drives through foggy mountains and immersive hikes heightened his awareness of nature’s stillness. His print distills lush forests and vivid waters into simplified shapes and calm composition.
