Timo Kuilder is a Dutch artist based in Amsterdam whose practice centers on minimal forms and observational drawing. Guided by a philosophy of “less is more,” he distills complex environments into simplified shapes and balanced compositions. His work reflects an ongoing curiosity about nature and everyday surroundings, translating observation into calm, graphic storytelling.
The turquoise lakes and cascading waterfalls of Plitvice National Park offered Timo Kuilder a quiet escape from urban life. Long drives through foggy mountains and immersive hikes heightened his awareness of nature’s stillness. His print distills lush forests and vivid waters into simplified shapes and calm composition. Through minimal forms and restrained color, the work reflects clarity found in slowing down. It serves as a reminder of how natural environments recalibrate the senses and inspire renewed focus.

David Heo is a Chicago-based artist whose work merges references to mythology, folklore, and contemporary life. Through painting and printmaking, he creates narrative compositions populated by symbolic animals and characters that reflect emotional and psychological states. Drawing from art history and storytelling traditions, Heo constructs scenes that blur the boundary between personal memory and universal myth.
Seeking a break from urban life, David Heo found calm in the green serenity of Camp Wandawega. Canoeing at sunrise and reflecting on personal relationships shifted his focus inward. Thinking of his partner while surrounded by vast nature sparked a narrative about connection and absence. His print blends mythic symbolism with intimate reflection, portraying emotional ties through layered imagery. The landscape becomes a stage for contemplation, transforming a quiet lakeside experience into a poetic meditation on who we carry with us, even when far from home.

Boicut is an Austrian artist based in Vienna whose work draws inspiration from skate culture, urban environments, and everyday objects. His visual language blends illustration and abstraction through spontaneous lines, playful forms, and carefully balanced compositions. Moving fluidly between drawing, printmaking, and painting, Boicut explores the relationship between structure and improvisation within contemporary graphic aesthetics.
In the quiet countryside of Belgium, Boicut found inspiration in small, unexpected details: a cloud like a brushstroke, the sound of deer in the forest, the calm of open fields. Traveling among fellow artists deepened the experience, creating moments of connection and shared discovery. Known for drawing from everyday objects, he gathered impressions and images throughout the trip to build a layered composition. The resulting print assembles multiple elements into a balanced yet dynamic arrangement, reflecting both the landscape’s serenity and the collective energy of the residency.
