Totem Metellos

Emerging from Ghizlane Agzenaï’s ongoing exploration of geometry, colour, and energy, this edition marks the first translation of one of her signature totems into ceramic. Built intuitively through the arrangement of geometric forms, the work takes shape without a predetermined composition, allowing harmony to emerge through the relationship between colour, volume, and space. In ceramic, this familiar visual language acquires a new physical presence, introducing texture, weight, and permanence.

Characteristic of Agzenaï’s practice, her totems operate as abstract symbols of unity and positive energy, using colour and form to create an immediate connection with the viewer. Moving across painting, public space, and now ceramic, these forms continuously adapt while retaining their distinctive visual identity. Balancing intuition with precision, the work extends Agzenaï’s language into a tactile dimension, inviting an emotional response that can be felt before it is fully understood.
