David Heo is a Chicago-based artist whose work merges references to mythology, folklore, and contemporary life. Through painting and printmaking, he creates narrative compositions populated by symbolic animals and characters that reflect emotional and psychological states. Drawing from art history and storytelling traditions, Heo constructs scenes that blur the boundary between personal memory and universal myth.
Seeking a break from urban life, David Heo found calm in the green serenity of Camp Wandawega. Canoeing at sunrise and reflecting on personal relationships shifted his focus inward. Thinking of his partner while surrounded by vast nature sparked a narrative about connection and absence. His print blends mythic symbolism with intimate reflection, portraying emotional ties through layered imagery. The landscape becomes a stage for contemplation, transforming a quiet lakeside experience into a poetic meditation on who we carry with us, even when far from home.

William LaChance is an American artist based in St. Louis whose practice blends painting, printmaking, textile design, and assemblage. His work often juxtaposes diverse visual references—from fashion and design to art history and natural forms. By combining unexpected materials and imagery, LaChance creates hybrid compositions that blur the boundaries between fine art and applied design.
The vast landscapes of Oregon felt both cinematic and theatrical to William LaChance. Observing small-town life and expansive scenery, he perceived the environment as a stage inhabited by characters. Drawing from this narrative quality, he created a composition where figure and ground blur within painterly abstraction. The print references folk traditions and artificial silhouettes, highlighting the tension between authenticity and artifice. It captures a landscape transformed by imagination, where environment and storytelling merge into a contemplative scene.

Mar Figueroa is an Ecuadorian-born painter based in New York. Her work explores identity through surreal autobiographical imagery that bridges cultural influences from North and South America. Drawing on Andean symbolism and personal narrative, Figueroa creates dreamlike compositions where figures and environments merge, reflecting the complexities of living between cultures.
Surrounded by the dramatic contrasts of Olympic National Park, Mar Figueroa reflected on nature’s power and shared artistic community. Puma tracks in the snow served as a reminder of human fragility within vast landscapes. Inspired by collective energy among fellow artists, she created a composition where figures and environment intertwine. The print evokes dialogue, fluidity, and connection, blending surreal elements with personal symbolism. It captures a moment of pause in which nature and collaboration reshape perception.
