Greg Ito is a Los Angeles–based artist whose work blends symbolic imagery with dreamlike narrative. Using recurring motifs such as windows, candles, moons, and keyholes, Ito explores themes of longing, memory, and imagination. His paintings and prints exist in a liminal space between waking life and lucid dreaming, inviting viewers into contemplative landscapes shaped by personal mythology.
Arriving in Seoul with little preparation, Greg Ito immersed himself in the city’s energy through spontaneous encounters and explorations. The constant presence of Seoul Tower became a symbolic anchor, representing longing and discovery. Navigating unfamiliar streets and forming new friendships sharpened his awareness of place and self. In his print, Ito frames the landscape within his signature keyhole motif, suggesting both memory and desire. The work transforms a personal moment of connection into a symbolic image that captures the emotional resonance of finally visiting a long-imagined destination.
