Anuj Shrestha is a Philadelphia-based illustrator and cartoonist whose work engages with contemporary social and political themes. Through clear lines and bold color palettes, he addresses subjects such as migration, technology, and climate change. His illustrations have appeared in major publications including The New York Times and The New Yorker.
In Paris, Anuj Shrestha immersed himself in art and architecture, finding profound inspiration in a major Surrealism exhibition. Witnessing the transformative power of art firsthand led him to depict a figure physically altered by what they observe. The print merges clarity and symbolism, translating museum experience into visual metaphor. Through clean lines and thoughtful composition, the work reflects how cultural immersion can reshape perception, capturing the literal and figurative impact of encountering art in its historic context.
