Madi is a French artist based in Lisbon whose work emerges from an intuitive and dreamlike creative process. Her compositions often feature surreal characters, vibrant colors, and playful textures that reflect imagined worlds and emotional landscapes. Guided by instinct rather than strict planning, Madi constructs visual universes where fantasy, memory, and personal symbolism intertwine.
Rome’s layered history and warm color palette resonated deeply with Madi’s intuitive practice. Walking without strict plans allowed spontaneous discoveries to shape her sketches. From architectural grandeur to everyday objects, she gathered fragments of experience that later converged in her studio. The print weaves together symbols from Vatican frescoes to nightlife details, blending personal memory with collective heritage. Rich ochres and expressive forms reflect the city’s timeless atmosphere, transforming a week of exploration into an imaginative and vibrant visual diary.
